On Sunday Sept. 11th , the Major Atoms traveled to Orillia to face off against the North Central Predators. The boys went to play “their” game but in the end, it wasn’t theirs to have. Our young athletes fell 9 - 0 as the Predators outplayed them.
Although defeated, there were some highlights in the game where our players showed how determined they are. Our two busiest players, Matthew Donnelly and Talon Johnsen faced and stopped many shots on net. These boys continue to support the team with their super efforts between the pipes.
The teams entertained the crowd with two shoot outs after the game.
On a bright note, when all is said and done, the boys are having a great time getting to know each other and they are having FUN! Let’s not forget that we have a mountain to climb. We may be “new” but we are determined to give it all we’ve got. Let’s keep working hard at practices boys, and good things will come.
Good Luck at your first Tournament in Peterborough this Weekend!!!
