Foodtown Atoms Host Halton Hurricanes
Submitted By pstewart on Sun 02 12, 12
The boys started off a little slow in the first period sitting back andwatching Halton display their offensive talents.

Matthew Donnelly made several key saves to keep our team in the game.  After
period one the Grey Bruce boys were trailing 1-0.

The second period had a much faster tempo and the Highlanders were much
stronger on the puck creating several chances at the Hurricanes end.

Brenden Hinds went hard to the net creating a great scoring chance.

Tyson Hutcheson and Thomas Brown did a good job killing off a penalty and
had a scoring chance of their own.

The boys went into the second intermission trailing 2-0.

In the third period our team defence played sound with Jayce Busby making a
great defensive play sticking right to his man coming in on him enabling him
to break the play up.

Hard back checking by Tyson Lina and Tyson Hutcheson was evident throughout.

Halton prevailed for a 3-0 victory, 2 of their goals were on the power play.

A very good team effort.  Keep up the hard work!
