A Big Win At Home In Flesherton
The Waste Management Minor Bantams played host to the Brampton 45's and the Burlington Eagles at home this weekend in Flesherton.  Words cannot describe the heart and determination that this team has when they head into action on the ice ending the weekend with a loss and a win.

On Saturday November 24th the Waste Management Minor Bantams went into battle with the Brampton 45's at the Flesherton Arena in home play action.  The Highlanders worked hard for three periods but, the Brampton 45's would prevail with a 5-0 win.   The forwards that fought hard to the net in this game were Jordan Taylor, Troy Weber, Shale Blakey, Mike Fiegehen, Brady Coburn, Will Rickerby, Jake Lee and Noah Johnson. Missing from the line up was Dalton Black who has been sidelined with an injury and we hope has a speedy recovery.   The defence who saw alot of action this game were Josh Urbshott, Brendan Clayton, Dan Skinner, Logan Swanton and Matthew Epoch. Missing from the lineup was Quinton Maddock who we also wish a speedy recovery from his injury.  Although the game ended without the Highlanders on the board, the chain was awarded to Logan Swanton for his consistant play in a tough game.  The goalie in this game was Tate Millsap who made alot of fantastic saves in a game that saw alot of shots fired his way.

On Sunday the Highlanders were back to the Flesherton Arena for another home game against the Burlington Eagles.  In net for this game was Ryan Winter who played excellent between the pipes.  After one period of play the game remained scoreless for both teams.   In the second period the Highlanders were the first on the scoreboard with a goal from Jake Lee assisted by Will Rickerby and Matthew Epoch. It was not long before Jake Lee found the net again from Shale Blakey and Mike Fiegehan.    With a scoreless third period the Waste Management Minor Bantams finished the game holding off the Eagles for the 2-0 win.  Ryan Winter had a well deserved shut out with honourable mention to the defense Josh Urbshott, Dan Skinner, Brendan Clayton, Matthew Epoch and Logan Swanton.  Earning the chain for this game was Jake Lee who played hard and fought his way to the net.

Good Luck to the boys away in Welland Saturday December 1st.

The next home game for the Waste Management Minor Bantams is on December 8th in a double header against the Niagara Falls Rivermen at the Chesley Community Centre at 12 and 5:30 pm.  We hope to see you there to cheer the boys on~!
