Split Weekend For The Waste Management Minor Bantams
At home and on the road games were hard fought by the Waste Management Minor Bantams this past weekend.
On Saturday, October 27th the Minor Bantams played host to the Halton Hurricanes at the Flesherton Community Arena. Both teams battled hard to try to come away with a win in this one and as play went on it was obvious it could have gone either way with the end result being 2-1 for Halton. The lone goal scorer in this game was Mike Fiegehan with the assist being awarded to Jordan Taylor. This was a great game and the boys worked hard. They will get them next weekend~!
On Sunday, October 28th the Minor Bantams travelled to Burlington to take on the Eagles. Not unlike the game the day before, this was a tight one. After being down by 2 the pace of the game picked up and our Waste Management Bantams started to storm the net. The goal scorers in the second period were Jordan Taylor and Will Rickerby with the helpers going to Quinton Maddock and Logan Swanton. As this close game was going end to end our Minor Bantams Will Rickerby and Noah Johnson deposited 2 more. The assists were awarded to Josh Urbshott and Quinton Maddock. This game showed how hard the boys can battle to take back the win with a final score of 4-3. Great work team.
Everyone worked hard to contribute to a great weekend of hockey. Don't forget to attend the next home game on Sunday, November 4th at the Chesley Community Center at 2:30pm as they will have a much anticipated rematch against the Halton Hurricanes.
