After a great potluck
lunch put on by the Buffalo
team the Corey’s Tree Cutting Minor PeeWee Highlanders were looking for revenge
in game number 2. With such a long break
between games, the boys came out sluggish and found themselves down by 3 in the
hockey game.
Nathan Ahrens tried to spark the troops by ripping a wrist shot to the top of the net to put the Highlanders on the board. Tyson Lina picked up the assist. With the boys down but not out, Ahrens got his second of the game banging home a rebound with Will Black assisting. Buffalo started to control the play again and would tack on 3 more goals. The boys would not quit though and were rewarded when Will Black deflected a Dawson Fahrer wrist shot that found the back of the net. This was the end of the scoring to make the final 6-3 for Buffalo. The Minor PeeWees will be looking to get back in the win column next weekend! Go Highlanders!!
