THE POWER IS BACK ON!!!!
The First Concrete Ltd Bantams looked to fix their recent power outage with a double header with the Niagara Riverman.  After a shaky first game the boys found their long lost scoring touch in an offensive explosion!

Despite playing solid defensive hockey over the past month, the Bantams have been their own worst enemy in recent games.  Whether it is rust, playing too cautiously, getting comfortable with new linemates, or just plain gripping the stick too tightly, the boys have simply been in a scoring slump.  The first game of the double header saw the boys continue their trend toward low scoring, tight checking games.  After playing a scoreless first the Highlanders were able to jump out to a 2 -0 lead in the second period before Niagara answered back with one of their own.  Jakob Lee scored on the power play with an assist to Noah Solinger and Damian Sutton added one of his own with an assist to Zach Tupker.  The Highlanders continued to create offensive chances, in particular, the line of Jordan Taylor, Dalton Black, and Michael Fiegehen showed flashes of brilliance, but were unable to add to their lead.  Late in the third Niagara did the unimaginable and tied the game on a goal mouth scramble.  The Highlanders were not to be denied however as Jakob Lee scored the winner from Damian Sutton.

Game 2 of the double header revealed a remarkably different team, perhaps it's easier to play without a monkey on your back!  Ben Tupker scored early from Zach Tupker and Brendan Clayton and before the official score could be announced Michael Fiegehen had added another, assisted by Logan Swanton!  It was off to the races from there as the Highlanders poured in another 8 goals as they exorcized their scoring frustrations.  Noah Johnson and Troy Weber scored two a piece and Jakob Lee, Zach Tupker, Damian Sutton, and Will Rickerby notched one a piece.  Lee, Johnson, Noah Solinger, Zach Tupker, Ben Tupker each had two assists while Fiegehen and Josh Urbshott added singles for a final score of 10 - 0.  Cam Plante recorded the shut out.

The First Concrete Ltd. Bantams look to continue both their solid defensive and emerging offensive play as they visit the always tough Halton Hurricanes this coming weekend.
