The '98's - Biermans Comeback Kids
In a game full of squandered power play opportunities and shall we say, very erratic play, the Biermans Minor Bantams were fortunate to come away with a 3-3 tie vs. the North Central Predators in Midland on Wednesday night...
Making his first start of the year, and playing much bigger than his 5’ 3” frame, goaltender Brendan Macham was able to keep the score close, stopping 40 of 43 Predator shots. Able to muster only 23 shots of their own the ‘98’s were able to capitalize on their few good scoring chances. Jordan Caskenette was the first to “tickle the twine” late in the second on a nice tip in from a point shot by Braeden Marshall. After falling behind 3-1, Jordan Reaman was able to beat the Predator goalie on a nice feed from Marshall again at 3:30 of the third. Completing the comeback was d–man Alec Tiley with an unassisted screen shot from the point with 63 seconds left in the game. The “comeback kids” don’t see action again until the weekend of Sept; 9,10,11 when they will be at the Niagara Falls Early Bird Tournament.
