Saturday October 29th saw the second of numerous doubleheaders that the 98’s are involved in this year. Game #1 vs. the newly named Niagara North team (formerly St. Catherines Falcons) saw an inspired Highlander group outshoot the visitors 34–26...
but eventually fall by a score of 3-2. Both Highlander goals were scored by a hustling Cole Hodgins (Mount Forest). Nick Foster (Owen Sound) and Tristen Park (Beaver Valley) got the helpers on the first goal with Jordan Reaman (Mount Forest) assisting on the second. Tristan Lewis (Port Elgin) manned the crease in game #1.
After a short break at Biermans Bar and Grill, where many delicious chicken wings were consumed (too many I think), the boys came out a little flat – getting outshot 32-25 and outscored 4-0. Both Niagara goalies lived up to their six foot frames in thwarting numerous Highlander scoring chances over the two games. Brendan Macham (Creemore) was in net for game #2.
