Kia of Owen Sound Grey Bruce Highlanders AAA Minor Midgets competed in the Waterloo Gold Puck AAA Tournament - The Kia Minor Midgets ended up with a record of 1 win, 2 losses and 1 tie.
The tournament started on Friday with a 5-1 loss against the Lambton Sting with Brandon Eagles scoring the only Highlander goal. The Highlanders then played the Toronto Titans and tied 3-3. The Highlander scoring came from goals from Tyler McCracken, Zachary Coulter and Connor Patton.
The Tournament continued on Saturday with games against the Cambridge Hawks and the London Jr. Knights Green. The Highlanders started with a loss against the Hawks 3-1. The single goal came from Zachary Coulter. The Highlanders then finished the tournament late Saturday night with their only win against the Jr. Knights. The Highlanders won the game 5-2 with the scoring lead by Zachary Coulter with 2 goals and singles coming from Brandon Eagles, Jayme Forslund and Tanner Bastien.
