Canines and Felines Both Take a Bite
The Highlanders had a tough weekend playing the top two teams. The boys traveled to the second place Welland Tigers Saturday and then hosting the Top ranked Ontario team Sunday in Chesley - The Hamilton Bulldogs.
Both games resulted in the red light being turned on a lot - unfortunately our boys are struggling to find the net, let alone hit it. The boys played sluggish after the long trek to Welland and the Tigers did not hold back. With this last drive to Welland this season out of the way the boys hoped to rebound on Sunday. Unfortunately for Grey-Bruce, they were hosting the undefeated Hamilton Bulldogs.
The boys played a strong defensive game despite surrendering five more goals but for a team that scored 115 goals this season, a 5-0 score is not bad. Hopefully the boys will start to find the net themselves and turn on the light at the other end of the rink - change is nice sometimes.
The Highlanders will hopefully adjust a few more things this weekend when they play in Brampton Saturday and host Niagara on Sunday. It would be nice to head into the Christmas break with better outcomes. Good luck boys!!
