Stormy Weekend for Peewees
The Peewees had a stormy weekend facing a Storm in Guelph and then having to deal with Lightning strikes in Chesley on Sunday.

The boys traveled to Guelph to face a very disciplined Storm team who were able to take advantage of a re-adjusting Highlander team.  Guelph capitalized on a confused Grey-Bruce team late in the first to score three quick goals in a 30 second span.  The Highlanders refusing to give up came right back early in the second to close the gap to 4-1.  Guelph were held off the scoreboard in the second.  In the middle of the third the Storm were able to slip another goal in and then capitalized again with two more quick ones late in the third.  The Highlander goal was a result of hard work and determination.  Goal was ultimately scored by Nick Love and assisted by Danny Bureau and Alec Tiley.

The Halton Hills Lightning returned to play the Highlanders for the first meeting since the Grey-Bruce boys had defeated them, to earn their first win of the regular season.  History would not repeat.  Halton came out with something to prove scoring two quick goals in the first period.  Despite an outstanding effort from the Highlanders, the Lightning proved why they are in the top of the league.  Final score 6-0.
The boys played strong in both games showing in increased effort and desire to take the body and the puck.  Keep the hard work going, work on the specifics and the rest will come boys!!
