Submitted By Heidi MacPherson on Wed 09 29, 21
The Grey Bruce Highlanders are offering a Player Development Program for players at the U10/U11 age groups.  The goal of the Program is to introduce local players to AAA hockey and to further develop their skills and skating.

Eligibility

Players must be currently registered at the U10/U11 age division with an OMHA Hockey Association that is within the Grey Bruce AAA Zone.

Schedule

The Program will operate on Monday nights from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Chesley Arena.  The Program will run from October 18th to December 20th.  Based on participation levels the Program may be continued into the new year.

Cost

The Program will be $20 per Session and is payable at the Arena prior to each Session.

Program Content

The Program will consist of Skills Development, Skating and Goalie Instruction (based on interest levels).

Registration

The attached Registration Form is to be submitted to the Grey Bruce Highlanders and will be accepted on a first come first serve basis.  Registration is for all 10 Sessions and will be limited to the first 20 skaters and 4 goalies.  Registration will close on October 8th.  The Registration Form in online at our website and is to be submitted electronically.

If numbers significantly exceed these limits, consideration will be given to expanding the Program by splitting the Registrants into 2 groups which would reduce the number of Sessions to 5 per group.

Instructors

The following Grey Bruce Highlander Instructors will deliver this Program:

Skills - Mitch Wright/Brad Tiley

Skating - Bryan Weinberg

Goalie - TBD

Covid Protocols

Players will need to comply with all Chesley Arena Covid Protocols and the OMHA Covid Policy.  At this point Players at these age groups do not need to be fully vaccinated to participate.  However, this requirement is subject to change at the direction of the OMHA, Public Health or Municipality Policy.  Currently, Spectators entering the Chesley Arena must validate full vaccination and register at the Arena entrance for Tracing purposes.
