Major Midget Team Scholarship

The Michael O'Hara Scholarship Fund was established in 2007 to honour the memory of a Grey Bruce Highlander whose life was tragically ended in January 2007 as a result of a devastating accident that also took the lives of four other schoolmates.  Mike was passionate about hockey, dedicated to helping his teammates and friends, and had clear academic and career aspirations.  He is greatly missed.  A scholarship towards post-secondary education in the amount of $1000 will be awarded annually to a member of the Grey Bruce Highlander Major Midget team who displays a passion for hockey and for being a good teammate, and who are active in their community.  Ongoing contributions to the fund can be made through the Community Foundation Grey Bruce at 519-371-7203 or online at www.communityfoundationgreybruce.com
