Midget, 2018-2019 (Grey-Bruce Highlanders AAA Minor Hockey Association)

The GBH Major Midgets finished the SCTA season on a tremendous run to secure 4th place in the standings. They carried that momentum into the playoffs. The Midgets went 5-3 in the round robin which was good enough to finish second in their pool and advance into the next round of playoffs.  The squad will now now face the first place Oakville Rangers in a 3 of 5 playoff series. Games 1 and 2 are set for March 2 & 3 in Owen Sound.  Congratulations to the team on successfully reaching this season goal. 

As the Xmas season and break from hockey has arrived the GBH AAA Midgets are using the time to get refreashed and get healthy. It has been a busy first half of hockey for the boys. Advancing to the finals of one Tournament and the semi finals of another is mission accomplished it also adds quite a bit of wear and tear to the team.  The Highlanders are getting ready to come back from the break and go on a run in the second half. Only 8  SCTA Regular Season games remain before playoffs and everyone will be important.  The GBH Midgets wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season. 

Congratulations to 6 GBH AAA Midget Highlanders chosen to participate in the SCTA Midget All Star Game.  As the Highlanders finished up in 2nd place in the CTA division and 3rd in Overall SCTA standings, 6 players plus the coaching staff will be in Burlington Saturday December 1 for the day.

THe GBH Midget Highlanders return to SCTA League play after a very successful weekend in Kitchener.  The Highlanders were in the Kitchener Blue Line Tournament where the  squad went 3-0-1 in Round Robin play to win their pool.  They followed this by wining their semi final match up and advancing to the Tournament Championship Game on Sunday.

The GBH Midget AAA Team will be holding extra tryout skates to fill the remaining 2-3 roster spots for the up coming 2018/19 season.  The Midgets are looking to fill positions for 1 Goalie and either 1 Forward/1 Defense or 2 Forwards to get to a complete roster of 20 players.
