Our bags are packed and the excitement is building as we prepare to make our way to the World Youth Olympics in Norway tomorrow!! We are constantly pinching ourselves to make sure we are not dreaming!  It is with deep gratitude that we thank the Highlander Organization for their generous support to help make this a reality for our family. The Minor Midget Highlander team would like to extend a huge THANK YOU to Wes for Youth, our team sponsor.  On Saturday, Yolanda Cameron, came and spoke to the team about her son Wes and the Wes for Youth Organization.  Her goal is to make people more aware of mental health issues in youth.  The team and their parents were all part of the meeting. The Grey Bruce Highlanders Minor Midget team is proud to announce the selection of their Captain, #10 Connor Roberts, to the Canadian Youth Olympic Hockey Team.  Roberts will travel to Calgary in early February for training camp.  Then it is on to Lillehammer, Norway to compete in the Youth Olympic Games from February 12 to 21, 2016.   Follow this link to see the roster Roberts is one of 7 players from Ontario and 17 from the country to be named to the team.   Your Highlander family will be watching you closely in this next step of your hockey career.
