The Minor Midgets would like to express our thanks for the huge support on Saturday from all our local hockey fans who came out to watch and cheer on the boys. You really made it the Chesley Thunderdome! As we head overseas next week to represent our association and our Country, we want to wish the Major Bantams the best of luck at the OMHA Championship Tournament. GO HIGHLANDERS GO !!!!

This Saturday, March 7, be there at the Chesley Thunderdome to support your Highlander Minor Midgets in game 5 of their playoff series vs. the Halton Hurricanes. This series of intense rivalry has been all about momentum with your Grey Bruce Highlanders winning games 1 and 2, followed by the bounce back effort by the Hurricanes in games 3 and 4. With a 2-2 series tie, who will have the momentum for game 5! Be there to fire up your Highlanders at HIGH NOON IN THE THUNDERDOME!

Congratulations don't say enough for the effort and determination shown by the boys this past weekend in the SCTA Qualifier held in Brampton. Entering the tournament in 7th place in the regular season standings, their inspired effort helped the to overtake all teams to grab the 1st overall position with a 3-0-1 record. The buzz in the stands by the opposition teams and several scouts was "I sure don't want to have to play those guys" and "this is one of the toughest teams to play in the OMHA". Thanks to all who participated in the online auction, the total funds raised were $3655 for the boys trip to Europe. As an exciting way to raise funds, the last few hours sure got the heart rate up. A special congratulations to Butch who managed to win the "hockey stick" safe at the last minute!
