The Waste Management Minor PeeWees didn't fair so well in the opening game of the Bell Capital Cup

The Waste Management Minor PeeWee players and their families arrived safely in the capital city to participate in the Bell Capital Cup.  Our first event upon arrival was to take in the Senators game.  Unfortunately the Sens game turned out very much like some of our own Highlanders game with the Sens being defeated 4-0 by the Hurricanes.  Chris Neil had a fan club as the boys continually chanted "We want Neil"   Not to disappoint his young fan club from his home town Chris really wanted to teach the Hurricanes and the linesman a few facts about Grey Bruce late in the 3rd which resulted in him getting to the shower 1st.  The thrill of being at the game and getting on the big screen was a great start to what we hoped would be a perfect tournament

But morning came early and we're off to the Rink to meet the Kanata Blazers, only to be defeated 8-1.  Jakob Lee scored the lone marker assisted by Noah Johnson.

Jakob received the MVP of the game and Noah was awarded the Hardest Worker.

The team has the balance of the day off to rest and get ready for a big day tomorrow when we meet 2 US teams the Valley Forge Minutemen (Pennsylvania) and New England Jr. Falcons (connecticut).

Noah Johnson, Jakob Lee, & Danny Skinner will be representing the Highlanders tonight in the All Star Game and Coach Tom will be part of the coaching staff during this game.  Good Luck Boys and Tom we're proud of you!
