Highlanders milestone: Ethan Osborne reaches 400 games
Reaching 400 games at the AAA level is no small feat, and for Ethan Osborne, it represents years of dedication, growth, and pride in a Grey Bruce Highlanders jersey.
Ethan hit the milestone on Jan. 15, 2026, helping the Highlanders earn a win over the Waterloo Wolves. His journey with the organization began back in Minor Atom (U10) and has grown into an incredible run of consistency and commitment at the AAA level.
“It’s been a privilege getting to play 400 games at the AAA level for an awesome organization like the Grey Bruce Highlanders,” said Osborne. One word that sums up his time with the organization? Amazing.
Among the many highlights, Ethan reflected on the one moment that stands above the rest - wearing the Highlanders jersey in the U16 tie-breaker game to advance to OMHAs. The celebration that followed remains his favourite on-ice memory and a moment he’ll never forget.
Another recent game that stands out for Osborne took place on Jan. 10, 2026, against Oakville in Owen Sound. “The energy, the crowd, everything about it was unreal.”
When reflecting on the people who have shaped his journey, Osborne credits every coach and teammate who pushed him, believed in him, and helped him grow both on and off the ice.
For young Highlanders players, his advice is simple and powerful. “Work hard, always be a great teammate, play for the emblem on the front, not the name on the back. Enjoy every second.”
