A holiday of heart: Highlanders give back to the Grey Bruce community
This holiday season, the Grey Bruce Highlanders AAA are proud to celebrate the many ways our teams are giving back. From food and toy drives to fundraising for holiday baking boxes, Highlanders players and families are coming together to support those in need across the region.

U18 Team & First Responders: Holiday Food & Toy Drive and BBQ
The Grey Bruce Highlanders U18 team is partnering with the Arran-Elderslie First Responders to collect non-perishable food items and new, unwrapped toys for local families. Community members are invited to take part, enjoy a BBQ fundraiser hosted by the U18 team, and help spread holiday cheer. All proceeds from the BBQ will support families throughout Grey and Bruce counties.

Date: Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025
Time: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Location: Chesley Grocery Store

U11 Team: Holiday Food Drive
From Nov. 22 to Dec. 3, the U11 team proudly led its second annual food drive, gathering non-perishable food donations from families, friends, and supporters across the community. The team’s efforts continue to grow each year, reflecting their commitment to making a meaningful impact.

U10 Team: Fundraising for Holiday Baking Boxes
The U10 Grey Bruce Highlanders are collecting monetary donations until Dec. 13 to create holiday baking boxes for local food banks. These boxes will include ingredients for baking cookies for Santa or decorating gingerbread—simple, festive activities that bring families together.

Highlanders players are demonstrating leadership, compassion, and community pride beyond the arena. We extend heartfelt thanks to all families, supporters, volunteers, and partners who help make these initiatives possible.
