The Grey Bruce Highlanders are pleased to announce the recipients of the the Zachary Herrold and the Michael O'Hara awards.
The Zachary Herrold Award is presented annually to the player who is a member of the Grey Bruce Highlander Minor Midget AAA Hockey Team, and who has the highest scholastic standing in school during the season. This years recipient is Jaden Balasuriya with a 97.25% average and the scholarship award is in the amount of $1000.
The Michael O'Hara award is presented annually to player who most embodies the Highlander spirit and is a member of the Grey Bruce Highlander Midget AAA Hockey Team. This player loves the game of hockey, loves to have fun, and is the type of person who gets along with everyone. He is fiercely loyal to his teammates and the Highlanders. He is active in his school and his community, and has plans to further his education. This years recipient is Owen Prior and the scholarship award is in the amount of $1000.
