Highlanders Alumni Return To Run Skills Camp!
Submitted By Hugh Morrison on Wednesday, June 07, 2017
Zac Coulter and Mitch Wright are both former Highlanders who moved on to play Junior B hockey.  Their careers have progressed and they both played CIS hockey this past season with Mitch lacing them up for the Laurier Golden Hawks and Zac playing crosstown with the Waterloo Warriors. They are excited to offer skills sessions within the Grey-Bruce zone!

Our names are Mitch Wright and Zac Coulter. We run a small business called Top Corner Training. We are planning to run hockey skill sessions this summer at the Rec Centre in Owen Sound, as well as our private lessons on our synthetic ice surface. We both played for the Grey-Bruce Highlanders before playing together for the Owen Sound Greys Jr. B. We then both moved on to join the Elmira Sugar Kings, where we finished out our junior careers. Currently, we both play CIS hockey, Zac for Waterloo University and Mitch for Laurier University. Our goal is to help develop players in the key components of hockey such as skating, puck handling, passing and shooting through game-like drills. We are aiming to make the sessions as personal as possible as we are only allowing 12 kids per age group. The cost is $280 for 8 sessions each 50 minutes long. If you know anyone who would be interested please feel free to pass along our information, it would be greatly appreciated. Spots are limited for the on-ice sessions so register soon!

In addition, we run a 30X23 foot synthetic ice pad, with specialized stickhandling equipment we are excited to provide hockey skills training at our facility. We are the first synthetic ice pad in Grey-Bruce so be sure to check us out! At Top Corner Training we listen to the athlete and work with them to work on areas of their game that need improvement. Private or semi-private lessons are available. Whatever your goal may be, we will work to help you improve and get ready the next time you step on the ice! We are located at 1185 4th Ave East, Owen Sound.
