Highlanders Alumni Feature in Cherrey Cup Finals!

Several Highlanders Alumni featured in the Cherrey cup finals.  In an exciting game the Elmira Sugarkings topped the Stratford Cullitons to win the Midewestern conference of the Greater Ontario Junior B Hockey League 5-1.

"Highlander alumni, Mitch Wright (1994), Zac Coulter (1995) and Ethan Skinner (1997) members of the Elmira Sugar Kings, celebrate winning the Cherrey Cup last night, as champions of the Midwestern Conference of the Greater Ontario Junior B Hockey League.  The championship earns the Sugar Kings a berth in the Sutherland Cup, the provincial championships for Junior B hockey.
 
All 3 players have been key contributors to the success of the Sugar Kings this season.  Ethan Skinner had a hat trick in the final championship game.  The younger brothers of Zac and Ethan played for the Highlanders this past season.
 
The Sugar Kings defeated Stratford Cullitons is a competitive series.  Highlander alumni Justin Graham (1996) and Nick Redman (1997) are members of the Stratford team who may advance to the Sutherland Cup as a wild card Team.
 
The Highlanders are proud to see alumni players succeeding at the next level and we wish them all the best in the pursuit of the Sutherland Cup."
