Highlanders AAA to Offer Novice/Minor Atom Skills Sessions
Submitted By Hugh Morrison on Thursday, March 26, 2015
The Grey-Bruce Highlanders are thrilled to offer a series of skills sessions to support Novice and Minor Atom players from the area who love playing hockey.  The sessions will be led by several of our coaches along with some high level guests and will focus on skill development and fun. The full schedule is located at the bottom of the information sheet.
For more information please email [email protected] or [email protected]

Coaches:

·         Do you feel like your players would benefit from more time on their skills?

·         Do you feel like the season is too short and there isn’t enough practice time?

·         Are you proud of your players and think that some of them love the game enough to play at a higher level in           the future?

·         Are you interested in being around other coaches and learning some new drills?

Parents

·         Do you have a child who loves hockey and wants to improve?

·         Are you looking for cost effective ice time?

·         Would you like to see some longer practices with a focus on skill development?

·         Would you like to learn more about the highest level of minor hockey in the area?

·         Would you like the opportunity to see how your child would do with some of the better players in the area without having to commit to a team ?

·         Do you want your child to be better prepared for tryouts in the future?

Players entering Novice or Minor Atom

·         Do you love playing hockey and working on your skills?

·         Do you want to learn more about the game and get better?

·         Are you interested in trying out for a higher level team at some point in the future?

·         Do you want to see what some of the better players in the area look like?

·         Do you love to have fun?

If you find yourself saying yes to any of these questions then the Grey Bruce Highlanders want you for their skill sessions!

The Grey-Bruce Highlanders are pleased to announce that we will be offering skills sessions for players entering Novice or Minor Atom.  These sessions are an hour and twenty minutes long and will feature various coaches from our organization.  The focus of the sessions will be to help develop skills while introducing families to the Highlanders organization.  We hope that these sessions will encourage young hockey players to continue improving both their skill level and their love of the game.  We will not be running teams in the Novice or Minor Atom age category for next year but we do hope to be able to support our associate centers with these skill development sessions.  Along with the skill development sessions we will be having parent sessions where staff members will be available to answer questions about AAA hockey.
