Submitted By Hugh Morrison on Thu 01 22, 15
The Highlanders are proud to announce our Atom and Minor Pee Wee Head Coaches for the 2015-16 Season. Tim Warrilow and Zeke Verbeek have accepted positions with the organization for the upcoming season.

Tim Warrilow (MAJOR ATOM)

Tim is returning as the Head Coach of the 2005 age group.  As a Development 1 certified Coach, Tim has 19 years of coaching experience, including coaching responsibilities at the Junior B and the NCAA Division III levels.

Prior to the start of his coaching career, Tim played Junior A hockey in Collingwood followed by a NCAA Divsion I hockey career at Canisius College.

Tim is looking forward to the challenge of building on the Team’s momentum from this year’s experience as an entry level team in the South Central AAA Hockey League.

Zeke Verbeek (MINOR PEE WEE)

Zeke is returning to the Highlander Association after a successful tenure as a Head Coach with some of our Home Centres.  He is Development 1 certified and recently was an OMHA Finalist with a team at the 2004 age group.  Upon the completion of his Junior hockey career, Zeke was an Assistant Coach with the Highlanders for 3 years back in the 1990s.

Zeke enjoyed a successful Junior hockey career first with the Stayner Siskins and then moving up to Junior A with Collingwood.

As a entry level team, Zeke will utilize his coaching skills to quickly prepare the players for AAA hockey and draw upon his knowledge of the 2004 age group to recruit the best players from our AAA Zone.
