OMHA Minor Midget AAA Top Five Rankings
Thursday, January 31, 2013 Oakville, ON: - The Ontario Minor Hockey Association has released the ninth edition of the Minor Midget AAA Top Five Rankings for the 2012-13 regular season. The Whitby Wildcats are coming off a big 5-3 win against the York Simcoe Express. Their strong play of late has them jumping to the number four spot after being an honourable mention last edition. Adam Craievich’s offensive tear of late keeps the Oakville Rangers atop the rankings where they have been all season long. Rounding out the top five are the Barrie Jr. Colts maintaining spot number two, Southern Tier Admirals at three and the York Simcoe Express holding on to spot number five. Brampton 45’s, Grey Bruce Highlanders and Kingston Jr. Frontenacs are the honourable mentions.

The bi-weekly OMHA Minor Midget AAA Top five Rankings are selected by a panel of Ontario Hockey League scouts.

ETA/SCTA Players to Watch:
Adam Craievich /a> [Oakville Rangers] - – Adam arguably has the best hands in the SCTA and as a result is very dangerous around the net. He has really been showing his offensive prowess of late, which includes a two goal and one assist performance against the Niagara Falls Rivermen at the OMHA Showcase this past weekend.

Austin Gerhart [Barrie Jr. Colts] – Austin is an incredibly intelligent player on the ice. He is great at anticipating the play and when he does his high skill level usually takes over. He currently sits in the second position in the OMHA ETA scoring race with 43 points.

Garrett McFadden [Grey Bruce Highlanders] - McFadden is a slick puck moving defender. He is extremely strong on his skates and recently led his team to the finals of the Peterborough Midget Tournament of Champions. He recorded six goals in six games.
