Family Tradition Continues...
Former Highlander Kurtis MacDermid was called up to play in his first OHL game yesterday (Sun. Oct.23/11) for the Owen Sound Attack in the afternoon tilt against Sudbury Wolves.
Kurtis was drafted in 2010 by the
Attack in the seventh round.
I can only imagine
the banter at MacDermid family dinners as brother
Lane, also a former Highlander was drafted by the
Attack in the eighth round in the 2005 draft.
The OHL-MacDermid tradition began in the early 80's
with the boys' father Paul, playing for the Windsor Spitfires.
Kurtis is presently playing for the Owen Sound Jr
B. Greys where he has 1 goal and 3 assists in 12 games.
Good luck to the MacDermid boys!
