Peewees Bid Big Bruce Goodbye
Highlander peewees closed out the 2010-11 home season this past weekend.
The boys opened the weekend on the road with a trip to Guelph. Grey-Bruce went with a shortened bench but battled for the entire game. Unfortunately despite outworking the Storm the Highlanders were unable to get any bounces to go their way ending in a 2-0 loss.
The Highlanders then returned for the final time of the season to the confines of the Chesley arena to host the Brampton Battalion. Derick Acheson would open the scoring for Grey-Bruce on an unassisted marker from behind the net. Unfortunately the scrambling play of the boys would result in giving the visitors too many opportunities that they were able to capitalize on.
The home season would come to a close on a 3-1 loss.
Farewell Big Bruce for another year!
The Peewees close out their regular season on Saturday in Hamilton. Good luck boys!!
The Grey-Bruce Highlanders will then be hosting the SCTA qualifier in Owen Sound March 11-13.
