Falcons Tough at Home
Submitted By Paul Stewart on Wednesday, February 23, 2011
The Highlanders traveled to St. Catherines to play a double header with the Falcons on Sunday.

On the last long road trip of the year for the peewees the were able to fit in a couple games with one trip.  YEAH!!!  The boys came out strong opening the scoring on a goal from Cole Hodgins (Langridge, Freiburger) which would allow Grey-Bruce to carry a 1-0 lead into the second period.  Unfortunately they would give up five unanswered goals, including one on the power play, eventually falling to the Falcons in game 1.
In game two St. Catherines would open up a 2-0 lead but the Highlanders would fight back to tie the game in the second frame on goals from Brady Stewart (Love, Bureau) and Tristin Park (Love).  The Falcons would respond with two goals of their own.  Grey-Bruce boys would close the gap on a goal from Justin Donnelly (Reaman) but could not finish the deal as the host would respond quickly regaining the two goal lead.  The game would end in a 5-3 loss despite the the Highlanders outshooting the Falcons 26-16.  Solid road effort boys!
Go hard Saturday in Guelph.
