Peewees in Need of Missing Link
Coming off a good weekend tourney the Peewees are still looking for the missing link to scoring goals.
With the first return to Halton since the Grey-Bruce victory in Milton the Hurricanes were wanting to prove something. The Highlanders played well but the big boys from Halton were too strong for our boys eventually skating to a 4-0 victory. AJ Braiden would give Grey-Bruce solid goaltending but failure to score goals prevents teams from winning too.
Sunday brought the Niagara Falls Canuck to Chesley, just after our boys had defeated them to open their tournament the weekend before. Unfortunately our boys did not have the same game. At the end of one period the Canucks held a 2-1 lead as the Highlanders got a goal from Cole Hodgins (Freiburger, Donnelly). Niagara would continue to build on the lead to ultimately end with a one sided victory, despite Grey-Bruce getting solid goaltending from Brendan Macham.
With this past weekend over the Highlanders look towards finding that puzzle piece that may promote some more offence as they head into games against Brampton (away) and Burlingtion (home) this weekend. Good luck boys!!
