Highlanders battle for a win, loss & Tie at the Brantford AAA Showcase Tournament.

Leeder & Associates traveled to the Brantford AAA Showcase, missing some key payers the Highlanders started the weekend off slow against a very strong London knights team taking a 10-2 beating, Grey bruce scoring by Adam Timlock From Trevor Hughson & Kurtis MacDermid. Brad Pitt from Mitch Wright & Garrett Lewis.

After that wake up call and some choice words from the coaching staff the boys came out in game two with a little more life against the Sun County Panthers, only able to come up with a 2-2 tie but learning to play together with the shorter bench. Scoring by Adam Timlock from Mitch Wright and the tying goal by Kurtis MacDermid from Trevor Hughson and Mitch Wright for his 3rd assist in 2 games. Paul Boyadjian comes up big in the net to keep the team alive.

Big win in game three against a large Kitchener Rangers team. The Highlanders take a well deserved 5 - 1 win and showed alot of discipline fighting off high hits and plenty of stick infractions. Adam Timlock shows up huge as he opens the scoring for the third game in row with assists from Mitch Wright and DJ Ardis, Garrett Lewis pounds in the second goal from Andrew Graham. Ryan Hudson gets moved up from the defense core to  add some offense to the short bench and does so with a big goal and a 3-1 lead, assisted by DJ Ardis & Brad Pitt. Mitch Wright lights up for the teams 4th and pounds in a goal for his 5th point in 3 games assisted by Trevor Hughson's 3rd point in 3 games and Hayden Allen who started the rush. Garrett Lewis finishes off the game with his 2nd to make it a 5-1 final. Great effort by all and a well earned game by netminder Jerrad Kiss who made a number of great saves.
