Minor Peewee's take 3 points in weekend play!

The Amtelecom/Jaekel Manufacturing Highlander Minor Peewee team played two league games this past weekend and came away with a win and a tie.
The minor peewee's played as a team and were rewarded with a successful weekend.
On Saturday Nov 1, the team travelled to St. Catharines for a rematch with the Jr. Falcons. After losing 4-2 to the Falcons the previous Sunday the Highlanders were looking to even the score. The team played well and outplayed their opponents through all three periods. They were rewarded with some great goaltending and would manage to come away with a 2-0 win. A much better effort than the week before.
On Sunday, the Highlanders were ready for another rematch.This time it would be the visiting Welland Tigers.
The Highlanders would give up the first three goals to the Tigers, but their "never give up attitude" would have them finding the back of the net three times in the third period, and the game would end in a 3-3 tie. Once again, hard work and determination, along with some good goaltending, would be the key to this successful comeback.
The squad will hit the road this Saturday for a game in Milton against the Halton Hurricanes, and will return home on Sunday to host the Brampton Jr. Battalion at 1pm in Chesley.
