Minor Peewee Attend Nutrition & Fitness Seminar

The Grey Bruce Highlanders Minor Peewee Team attended a Nutrition & Fitness Seminar on Sunday February 3rd put on by Alison Wells and Graham Brown of the
Health Options Fitness & Wellness Centre in Hanover. The knowledge gained was very informative with great tips to improve our fitness levels with hockey related exercises and enhance our pre-game regime to make us more effective in the 3rd period and reduce injuries throughout the year.
The nutritional portion of the meeting gave the kids great suggestions for meal selections both on the road and at home. Alison covered what to eat the night before a game, as well as prior to and following games. Alison also suggested meals to be eaten between tournament games, and they were quite different than what we thought they would be, so we're excited to see how these changes help the boys.
