The CRGenergy major Peewee team is now 7 practices and 1 exhibition game deep into their preseason training camp. Each and every player on the team has put in an insane effort to become the best players that they can be.
Coach Graham has been taking a very positive approach with the players and instilling a never say die attitude. The players are learning that making mistakes is part of the learning process and that it is OK!
Instead of dwelling on the mistake the Players are learning to move forward and put forth their best effort to recover and repair the situation.
Assistant coaches Paul, Rod and Jimmy are keeping the players on there toes and demanding them to put every ounce of energy they have in to learning the new drills and game situations that coach Graham brings to the ice.
The CRGenergy major Peewee teams first exhibition game was against the North Central Predators in Midland. Even though we lost 2-0, All the players played well and gave the coaching staff some great input on things to work on before the regular season begins in mid September.
Above is a team picture that includes a very special individual that will play a very important role on this team. His name is Sebastian Garneau. Sebastian is a huge hockey fan who also played some very competitive hockey in his younger days. Being the hockey nut that he is he has decided to give back to this great game. His company CRG energy has stepped up to sponsor the teams jerseys and will be a common face around the rink cheering the boys on as if they were his own.
There are now only days left before the team heads east to our nations capital for their first tournament of the season in Ottawa.
