High Hopes For Minor Peewees
Training camp is over, practices are at it’s highest intensity and the Grey Bruce Highlanders Minor Peewee team is heading into its opening weekend with many expectations. After winning their first exhibition game over North Central Predators, the team has found a taste for victory and wants to repeat in their opener against Guelph.

The team has a belief in themselves and are ready to get the season started on the right track. With speed, determination and intensity, the Minor Peewees, featuring nine returning players and ten new players, the team believes that the mix of veterans and rookies brings a winning formula.
Going on the road to start the season, on Saturday against a Guelph team that defeated them in the SCTA Tournament is enough motivation to come out flying. With a quick turnaround, and a game the following day against perennial top team Oakville on Sunday, should prove enough of a test for their first weekend of games.
Whatever happens this weekend, the team’s excitement and improvement has been noted by many and the Minor Peewee team is sure to surprise teams in the league………in the early going at least.
