How to Tenderize a Buffalo Roast
written by:  The Trainer
½ cup of olive oil
½ cup of a strong red wine vinegar
4 cups of beer
2 minced garlic cloves
1 sliced sweet onion
2 tbsp of salt
3 tbsp of pepper
Or…………play some Highlander Hockey!

On another rainy Saturday, your Scandinave Grey Bruce Minor Bantams packed up the buggies and headed about as far south as you could go for some double header action against the Buffalo Regals in their home arena in Fort Erie, Ontario for some double header action.

It was a long drive, even the horses were tired despite stopping for a top up every 50 miles or so. Unfortunately the Highlanders were a bit tired as well for their first game. For 2 periods, the Minor Bantam Grey Bruce team seemed to slowly find their game. It wasn’t until the end of the third, when the horses started to hit their stride. Unable to take the lead, the team was always playing catch up. Buffalo would take the lead for good and GBH would have to re-load for game two.
Final Score: Regals 4-GBH 3

Game Two
The Highlanders knew they needed to make some adjustments during their
lunch. After strapping on the feed bag the team showed up at the rink ready
to rumble. Knowing the refs would put the whistle away they were ready to let
loose. And they did, banging, crashing, hitting, passing, scoring, this game had it
all. Good quality entertainment. GBH was like Ezekiel’s buggy firing on all 8
cylinders, there was no stopping them. A real fun game to watch, and the result
was even better as all 3 lines put goals up on the board. It was a beauty against a
highly ranked team.

Final Score: Highlanders 7-Buffalo 3

Next Games:  Double Header Nov 16 at Niagara Riverman 12 and 4
