The GBH Minor Bantams came away with 2 wins and a loss in recent game action. Scoring 20 goals and allowing only 5.

Game 1: Sat Oct 19. Brampton Comes to Town.
An afternoon matinee would see your Scandinave Highlanders do battle against the 45’s at Big Bruce Arena in downtown Chesley. Brampton came ready to play but they were no match for the mighty Highlanders in this game as the Brampton goalie was peppered with shots right from the get go. Now, in fairness to the Brampton 45’s, they went through a complete overhaul for this year and looked a little out of place. While it was nice to see old friends there were too many goals and assists to list and I will take the easy way out and tell you that Aidan Quish earned the shutout.
Final score: GBH 7-Brampton 0

Game 2: Sun Oct 20 at Hamilton Bulldogs This was a road trip down to the steel city to take on the team they beat 2 weeks ago. Expecting a hard hitting game, the GBH’s came prepared. Most games against Hamilton are fairly even and only goal or so determines the eventual winner. It would be the same today. In the end however, Hamilton would capitalize on a Grey-Bruce breakdown and take the lead for good in the third. An empty netter, after a strong Highlander push to tie the game with the extra attacker, and it was all over.
Final Score: Bulldogs 5-Visitors 3

Game 3: Tuesday Oct 22 at Brampton
On a rainy, icy, snowy Tuesday evening , the pick up trucks were loaded up again and pointed south down the 410 to the beautiful city of Brampton. Looking to bounce back strong from their loss to the Bulldogs the Highlanders would do just that. Again it was like shooting fish in a barrel but full props to the Brampton 45’s who continued to play hard right till the final siren. As in the game a few days prior the 45’s goalie would be the busier of the two as the Highlander blitzkrieg would continue for all three periods. Final Score: Grey-Bruce 10-Brampton 45’s 0

Next Game: Sat Oct 26 vs Guelph Gryphons in Chesley
