On Sunday January 15 the Peewee Highlanders were host to St. Catherines Niagara North for a double header day of hockey at the Chesley arena. These two teams matched up well in skill, but size went to the visiting team!
The first game ended in a 6-2 loss for the Highlanders with goals coming from Charlebois assisted by Maddock, and Rickerby assisted by Charlebois. The Waste Management Highlanders rebounded for the second game and came out flying. The second game was a 6-2 win for the Peewee Highlanders.
The St. Catherines team played most of the second period from the penalty box serving multiple unsportsmanlike penalties and two misconducts. It was a tough game against a big team, but the Highlanders were not intimidated and moved the puck well. Atkinson returned to play after being on the injured list. Armsrtong and Atkinson shared the net and the win for this game.
Goals were scored by Coburn assisted by Newson, Weber assisted by Coburn, Newson unassisted, Lee unassisted, Charlebois from Skinner, and lastly Fiegehen from Black.
It was a total team effort all day, and the team was rewarded with two points.
