Minor Peewee's Lose in Guelph
The Grey Bruce Line Spraying Minor Peewee Team travelled to Guelph on Thursday night for a game with the Guelph Storm.  The Highlanders came out strong in the first period and played a pretty good period of hockey.  They were rewarded with an even strength goal scored by Brady Stewart with assists to Austin Hamilton and Alec Tiley.

Early in the game the Highlanders were able to kill off a couple of penalties, but in the 2nd period the Storm scored 2 powerplay goals and 2 even strength goals to take a 4-1 lead into the 3rd period.  In the 3rd the Highlanders got back on the board with Daniel Bureau scoring from Owen Routheut and Owen O'Donnell.  The Storm finished the scoring and the game ended 5-2.

Some positive notes:  We won the 1st period and tied the 3rd.  Our penalty killing was good at times.  The guys moved the puck well at times.  For the most part our players are giving a great effort.

Things to work on:  The 2nd period was our downfall losing 4-0.  Our lack of strength on the puck was evident as the game wore on.  Positional play and sticking to a system continues to hamper us.

Hopefully the boys are geared up for their next test on Saturday @ 3:15 pm in Flesherton when the Niagara Falls Canucks come to town.  This is a team that our team has the ability to compete with and with a little luck to go along with a strong effort, let's look for a positive result.
