Minor Peewees .500 in league start-up
The Minor Peewees started their regular season play this past weekend, taking a 4-3 win from the hosts, the Burlington Eagles, and falling 8-3 to the Guelph Storm.

On Saturday, September 20 the Minor Peewee team travelled to Burlington to play their hosts, the Burlington Eagles.
Following a week of strong practices, the squad came out focused and ready for season play. The team demonstrated some defensive effort, with physical aggression and improved zone clearing, taking a 2-0 lead early. The Eagles more than evened the score taking the next three goals, but only to have the Highlanders fight back with the final two, finishing the game with a 4-3 win. Each goal scored, was a full line effort, with heads up passing. Team geling is becoming evident, as the players are showing confidence in each other.

On Sunday, September 21 the Highlanders came out strong, taking the first point, but the Storm were right on their heels, rebounding with two of their own. The Storm slowly slipped away from the Highlanders, capitalizing on some defensive errors and misjudgements. Still the lineup continued to pressure with persistance around the net, putting in two more goals, and giving the Storm netminder lots to think about. The team will continue to work on balancing both the defensive and the offensive aspects of the game. They will take their learned drawbacks to this weeks' practices, as they prepare themselves for next Saturdays' hosts, the Brampton Battalion.
