Back-to-back shut-outs for the Highlander Peewees
Strong defence and solid goal-tending by the Grey-Bruce Highlander Peewees, sponsored by Dan Rear Lawn Service, gave the team back-to-back shut-outs at Chesley Feb. 23 and 24.

The Highlanders took on the Brampton Battalion Saturday, and after almost two periods of scoreless hockey, Billy Kelly sent the puck to the front of the net where Nick Heffernan fired it past the Brampton netminder. Jordan Rear picked up the other assist on the goal, which stood up to be the winner in this 1-0 victory. Tristan Whitley earned the shut-out for Grey-Bruce.
The next day, the Highlanders skated out for a tilt with St. Catharines. The score remained dead-locked at 0-0 until the 11 minute mark of the third period when Zach Coulter, assisted by Brooks Nelthorpe, scored for Grey-Bruce. The team toiled hard to defend the lead, and an empty-netter by Brandon Eagles, assisted by Lauchlin Elder, cemented the 2-0 win. This time is was Kyle Poole standing tall between the pipes to pick up the shut-out for the Highlanders.
