September Update!
With a few games under our belts the GBH Atom Highlanders have made great stride towards finding success on the ice.
Putting up a win against the Brampton 45's these players were able to pull a culmination of on and off ice training to find success.
The team travelled to Newmarket to compete in the York Simcoe Express Steamtrain shoot-out for their first tournament of the season. Although the team did not move on to the finals, the team was able to log in four games in two days, gaining much needed experience playing at this level. Building strength and endurance has been a focus for the coaching staff and this tournament was an excellent opportunity for skill development.
We will be entering our second tournament in Kitchener, October 20-22 the first game will be a rematch against the North Central Predators.
The team wishes a speedy recovery to goaltender Alex Driscoll, who is out 6-8 weeks with an injury.
