Introducing The Grey Bruce Highlander Minor Atoms
After a strong training camp with steady work in practices and clear improvement in their three exhibition games, the Grey Bruce Highlanders introduce the reinvention of the Minor Atom team.  Lead by Head Coach Tim Warrilow, the team is ready for all of the challenges ahead and the development possibilities that come with playing this level of hockey.

In net for the team will be Kai Bryja with his stand up style and strong positioning between the pipes and Bryden Lindsay who combines his flexibility and athleticism with a quick glove hand.  While positions may change some over the course of the year, the team is starting with five defenseman: the sweet skating of Aidan Broderick, hands and creativity of Brett Warrilow, speed is the name of the game for Sarah Waddell, strong positional play of Cooper Sutter and the excellent puck movement of Nathan Doran.

Up front the team will feature three lines, made up of players that found many successes in their home hockey organizations in the past.  Straight off the peninsula is the hard working Barik Walker who is never afraid to go into the corner and battle for the puck, Chace Mertineit is willing to try new moves to find open space, speedy winger Hunter Strong gives opposing defenders hard times, sweet hands Kashias Keeshig, the all around talents of Dylan Becker which includes hard work, strong skating and stickhandling, Tyler Higginson is beyond his years in hockey smarts and understanding of other team defences, the great two way play of Spencer Graham, the quick feet and desire of Dylan Szymanowski and the shot and scoring talents of Austin Allen.   The team finishes its pre-season heading to Peterborough for a tournament against some of the top teams in the province.  The team hopes to find its first win at this tournament but showing steady improvement and an excellent team bonding atmosphere is a guarantee.  Good luck this season, Go Highlanders Go!!!
