The team headed to Burlington Saturday afternoon for their
first meeting against the Eagles. The
Eagles were a strong team and controlled the play most of the game. Our guys
worked hard, however, we came away with a 9-0 loss.
Sunday was a home game in Flesherton against Halton. Jaeden French (Collingwood), assisted by Ray Hou (Port Elgin) and Mason Watt (Collingwood) netted one in the first, however, Halton came back to score late in the first to put them ahead 2-1 at the end of one. Both teams took a few trips to the penalty box in the second period, however, Halton was able to score a couple of more to keep the lead. The third period saw Travis Verbeek (Flesherton) net two for the team with Patrick Brown (Mount Forest) helping out with one of the goals. Unfortunately, the team came away losing 5-3. Good luck in Oakville!
