Down but not out at the dog house
Submitted By Herb Hudson on Sunday, October 03, 2010
Sunday took the (sponsored by our parents) Midgets to Hamilton.

The Midgets were in Hamilton on Sunday taking on the Dogs for the first time this season.  Both clubs came out strong and hitting.  It was rough through the first period with both teams having chances and one goal post by the Highlanders.  The second at 12:45 the Dogs would strike first but although our boy's short of bodies wouldn't give up hitting the post again.  After the flood, starting the third, both teams continued the hard hitting with the bulk of the chances by our boy's.  With 51 seconds remaning and Jerred Kiss pulled from the net the Highlanders put her in high gear.  From the draw the puck came back to the point where Ryan Hudson got a shot through the crowd and on to Mitch Wrights twig and from there Mitch roofed that baby to tie the game at 1's.  The boy's battled hard to keep the game tied.  Great work by all the guys and solid goatending by Kisser.
