Kia of Owen Sound Grey Bruce Highlanders AAA Minor Midgets competed in the SCTA Qualifying Tournament - The Kia Minor Midgets ended up with a record of 1 win and 3 losses.
The tournament started on Friday with a 2-1 loss against the Oakville Rangers with Tyler McCracken scoring the only Highlander goal. The Highlanders then played the Niagara Falls Canucks and lost 4-2. The Highlander scoring came from goals from Lauchlin Elder and Brook Nelthorpe.
The Tournament continued on Saturday with games against the Guelph Jr. Storm and the Welland Tigers. The Highlanders started with a win against the Storm 6-2. The Highlander scoring came from Tanner Bastien (2), Brooks Nelthorpe, Lauchlin Elder, Connor Patton and Tanner Mighton with singles. The Highlanders then finished the tournament with another loss against the Tigers. The Highlanders lost the game 5-3 with the scoring coming from Brandon Eagles, Nate Kramer and Justin Graham.
