1. Remuneration of Directors

The directors shall receive no remuneration for acting as such. Out of pocket expenses may be reimbursed with board approval and availability of funds.

2. Duties of the President

a) The president shall exercise all the duties usually pertaining to such office.
b) The president shall preside at all meetings of the association and of the executive committee. In the president's absence, the duties shall be assumed by one of the vice-presidents, or in their absence, by such person as the meeting concerned may elect.
c) The term of office shall be one (1) year.
d) The president shall be an ex-official member of all committees.

3. Duties of 1st Vice-President

The 1st Vice-President is responsible for all "off ice" administrative matters pertaining to the association including the following:

a) Supervise coaches and will be responsible for addressing and hopefully resolving any issue around coaching.
b) Responsble for the marketing of Highlander apparel.
c) Oversee the following executive positions:
i) promotional chairperson
ii) tournament convenor
d) During the absence or inability of the president, his/her duties may be exercised by the 1st Vice-President.

4. Duties of the 2nd Vice-President

The 2nd Vice-President should be responsible for all teams in the association in all "on ice" hockey matters including the following:

a) Act as liaison for the ice and tournament convenor
b) Oversee team managers. Meet regularly to convey association policy and address any concerns.
c) During the absence or inability of the president and the 1st vice-president, the duties and powers of the president may be exercised by the 2nd vice-president.

5. Duties of the Secretary

a) The secretary shall be clerk of the board of directors and shall attend all meetings of the board of directors and record all facts and minutes of all proceedings in the books kept for that purpose.
b) Give all notices required to be given to the members and the board and shall be the custodian of the seal of the association and of all books, papers, records, correspondence, contracts and other documents belonging to the association.
c) Perform other duties as may from time to time be determined by the board.
d) The secretary shall act as associate representative to the O.M.H.A. and the league.

6. Duties of the Treasurer

a) The treasurer shall keep full and accurate accounts of all receipts and disbursements of the association in proper books of accounts.
b) Be responsible for the handling and management of all association monies, including deposit and disbursement, and other valuable effects under the direction of the board of directors.
c) Be responsible for having books audited prior to the A.G.M. and for obtaining copies of said audit.
d) Have a monthly financial statement available to the directors.
e) Forward a copy of annual budget, as set by the board, to the O.M.H.A. head office.
f) The treasurer shall be a member of the registration committee.

7. Duties of Other Directors

The remaining directors shall be responsible for the general management, supervision and efficient operation of their respective areas of responsibility as assigned in addition to other duties that may be from time to time assigned. They may select other individuals to assist them in their duties.

8. Duties of Appointees to Other Groups/Boards

Appointees to the O.M.H.A., the S.C.T.A., area junior teams and home centres within our zone will act as the Highlander communication link and represent the position of the board when attending meetings and voting. Also these appointees will be responsible for reporting to our board any information or decisions made at meetings which they attend on our behalf.
