The Waste Management Minor PeeWees played the Waterloo Wolves for the second time in a week.
It was Saturday, September the 4th and whatever “it” is, “it” wasn’t there for the Waste Management Minor Peewees on this day. They fall 9-1 to an experienced squad.
The boys played the Waterloo Wolves for the second time in a week and couldn’t find their game as Waterloo dominated in every category. The Highlanders are hot-on the learning curve as the coaches continue to try new line combinations and defensive pairings.
There were many bright spots in the game with fine individual efforts by Quinton Maddock, the steady play of Noah Johnson and Troy Weber in this writer’s opinion. The busiest man in the house was Ryan Winter who faced a constant barrage of rubber in the nets and is to be commended for a superb effort.
Our loan goal came late in the third period when Tyson Wilkins found the twine with assists going to Jakob Lee, started by a great point shot from Ethan Bullivant.
Let’s all give full credit to the Wolves for the victory and continue to support our fledgling crew as they maintain their sense of humour, a modicum of decorum and.........obviously......... their incredible good looks. These kids are great athletes and are learning a lot in their short time together.
Keep working hard boys and good things will surely follow.
